This document describes the features and characteristics of the IDT71016 product, including 64K x 16 advanced high-speed CMOS Static RAM, equal access and cycle times, one Chip Select plus one Output Enable pin, bidirectional data inputs and outputs directly TTL-compatible, low power consumption, etc.
The IDT71016 is a 1‑Megabit (64K × 16) high‑performance CMOS static RAM fabricated with IDT’s high‑reliability process. It operates from a single 5 V supply, features TTL‑compatible bidirectional I/O, and includes separate byte‑enable pins for flexible data handling.
The device is offered in 44‑pin Plastic SOJ and 44‑pin TSOP Type II packages, supports commercial (0 °C‑70 °C) and industrial (‑40 °C‑85 °C) temperature ranges, and provides fast access times as low as 12 ns for both read and write cycles.
| Memory organization | 64K × 16 |
|---|---|
| Power dissipation | 1.25 W |
| Commercial temperature range | 0 °C to +70 °C |
| Industrial temperature range | -40 °C to +85 °C |
| Address access time (TAA) | 12 ns – 20 ns |
| Output enable to valid (OE) | 7 ns – 10 ns |
