About this manual

The L780S00 series includes a family of 5‑pin linear voltage regulators with selectable output voltages from 5 V to 24 V and a 1 A output current. Each device features a strobe pin that can turn the output on or off (active‑low) and incorporates on‑chip thermal, over‑current, and ASO protection. The TO220‑5H package facilitates mounting and thermal design.

The datasheet lists maximum ratings such as a 35 V supply voltage, 1.75 W power dissipation, and a thermal resistance of 5 °C/W. Recommended operating conditions cover input voltage ranges, output voltage tolerance, line and load regulation, dropout voltage, and strobe timing characteristics. Typical performance tables and an equivalent circuit diagram are also provided.
