About this manual

The 5th Generation L‑Series IPM integrates Mitsubishi Electric's latest CSTBT™ trench chip and a newly developed control IC, delivering lower saturation voltage, reduced EMI, and lower control power consumption. The device is packaged in a low‑profile form factor that matches the dimensions of the previous L‑Series, enabling compact designs for power conditioners and motor drives.

Targeted applications include photovoltaic and fuel‑cell power conditioners, AC motor control devices, and UPS power supplies. The IPM supports a wide current range (50 A–600 A at 600 V and 25 A–450 A at 1200 V) and operates under typical conditions of 10 kHz switching frequency, PF 0.8, Tj 125 °C, VD 15 V, and VCE 300 V.
