LD1117 SERIES LOW DROP FIXED AND ADJUSTABLE POSITIVE VOLTAGE REGULATORS

The LD1117 series is a low drop positive voltage regulator, available in fixed and adjustable version. The device can provide up to 800mA of output current and is supplied in different packages.

LD1117 is a low dropout voltage regulator capable of providing up to 800mA of output current. An adjustable version is available with a reference voltage of 1.25V. The fixed versions offer the following output voltages: 1.2V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 2.85V, 3.0V, 3.3V, and 5.0V. The 2.85V version is ideal for SCSI-2 lines active termination. The LD1117 is available in SOT-223, DPAK, SO-8, TO-220, and TO-220FM packages. The SOT-223 and DPAK surface mount packages optimize the thermal characteristics and provide space-saving benefits. High efficiency is ensured by an NPN pass transistor. Only a common minimum 10μF capacitor is required for stability. On-chip trimming allows the regulator to achieve a very tight output voltage tolerance of ±1% at 25°C. The adjustable LD1117 is pin-to-pin compatible with other standard adjustable voltage regulators and maintains superior performance in terms of dropout and tolerance.
