This document describes the features and characteristics of the high performance HDMI/DVI transmitter AD9389A Rev. 0 from Analog Devices, including compatibility with HDMI v1.2a, DVI v1.0, and HDCP 1.1, internal key storage, support for various video and audio inputs, programmable two-way color space converter, and digital audio support for standard S/PDIF and 8-channel uncompressed LPCM I2S audio.

AD9389A is a high-performance HDMI/DVI transmitter that is compatible with HDMI v1.2a, DVI v1.0, and HDCP 1.1. It features internal key storage for HDCP and operates on a single 1.8V power supply. The video/audio inputs accept logic levels from 1.8V to 3.3V. The device supports various resolutions including 480i to 720p/1080i and XGA-75Hz. It also has a programmable two-way color space converter that supports RGB, YCbCr, and DDR. The AD9389A includes an on-chip MPU with I2C master for HDCP operations and EDID reading operations.
