This document provides the instruction manual for pESC Yeast Epitope Tagging Vectors, including four different vector models and their features.
The pESC Yeast Epitope Tagging Vectors are designed for the expression and functional analysis of eukaryotic genes in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. These vectors contain GAL1 and GAL10 promoters in opposing orientations, allowing for the controlled expression of one or two cloned genes under a repressible promoter system.
Each vector features an extensive polylinker sequence with sites for epitope tags such as FLAG and c-myc, enabling protein detection without specific antibodies. The vectors utilize a yeast 2-micron origin for autonomous replication in S. cerevisiae and include auxotrophic selectable markers (HIS3, TRP1, LEU2, or URA3) to maintain the expression vector within yeast cells.
