PCA24S08 is a 1024 × 8-bit CMOS EEPROM with access protection
The PCA24S08 provides 8192 bits of serial EEPROM organized as 1024 words of 8 bits each. It is compatible with standard 24C08 devices and adds block‑level access protection that can be configured via the I²C bus. The memory is divided into eight 128‑byte blocks, with additional pages for protection and ID information.
Typical specifications include a 2.5 V‑3.6 V operating range, up to 400 kHz I²C clock, 100 k write‑cycle endurance, 10‑year data retention, and less‑than‑5 ms write time. The device is offered in SO8 and TSSOP8 packages and operates from –40 °C to +85 °C.
