This document describes the features and characteristics of Philips Semiconductors' PowerMOS transistor BUK200-50X TOPFET high side switch, including temperature and overload protection, low quiescent current, overvoltage protection, etc.
The BUK200-50X TOPFET high‑side switch is a monolithic PowerMOS transistor designed for driving lamps, motors, solenoids and heaters. It features a 5‑pin plastic SOT‑263 package, 3.5 A nominal load current and a continuous off‑state supply voltage rating of 50 V. The device includes multiple protection functions such as over‑temperature, overload, reverse‑battery, undervoltage lock‑out and status indication.
Typical electrical characteristics include an on‑state resistance of about 100 mΩ, a continuous load current capability of up to 10 A, and a maximum junction temperature of 150 °C. Mechanical data specify a 2 g mass and compact dimensions suitable for board‑level integration. The datasheet provides detailed static, dynamic and thermal specifications, as well as typical characteristic curves for design reference.
