Molex PowerCat 6 Patch Cords are a slim boot patch cord designed for high density 1U active equipment. Ideal for hubs/switches where space between individual RJ45 jacks is limited.
The PowerCat 6 slim‑boot patch cords are designed to reduce congestion in high‑density 1U active equipment such as hubs and switches where RJ45 jack spacing is limited. They retain anti‑snag latch protection while offering a slimmer profile and are available in five colour options for easier wiring management.
Technical details include a 24 AWG stranded copper conductor, a maximum outer diameter of 5.6 mm, PVC or LSZH jacket, and an operating temperature range of –20 °C to +60 °C. The plug is rated for a minimum of 750 insertion cycles, uses copper‑alloy contacts plated with 50 µin gold over 100 µin nickel, and complies with UL and CSA approvals. Electrical ratings are 150 VAC max voltage, 1.5 A at 25 °C, and an operating temperature of –40 °C to 85 °C. Ordering information lists lengths from 0.5 m to 20 m and colour codes.
