About this manual

The AD9516-0 is a 14‑output clock generator that includes an on‑chip PLL and VCO. It offers low phase‑noise and low jitter performance for high‑speed ADCs, DACs, DDSs, wireless transceivers, and other high‑performance instrumentation. The device provides three pairs of LVPECL outputs, two pairs of LVDS outputs, and eight CMOS outputs, all configurable with programmable dividers and fine‑delay adjustments.

The chip operates from a single 3.3 V supply (±5 %) and can accept reference inputs up to 250 MHz. It supports both internal and external VCO/VCXO options, with the on‑chip VCO tunable from 2.55 GHz to 2.95 GHz. The AD9516-0 is rated for industrial temperature range –40 °C to +85 °C and includes a serial control port for configuration.
