The MAX200-MAX211/MAX213 are designed for RS-232 and V.28 communication interfaces where ±12V supplies are not available. On-board charge pumps convert the +5V input to the ±10V needed for RS-232 output levels. The MAX201 and MAX209 operate from +5V and +12V, and contain a +12V to -12V charge-pump voltage converter. The MAX200-MAX211/MAX213 drivers and receivers meet all EIA/TIA-232E and CCITT V.28 specifications at a data rate of 20kbps. The drivers maintain the ±5V EIA/TIA-232E output signal levels at data rates in excess of 120kbps when loaded in accordance with the EIA/TIA-232E specification. The 5µW shutdown mode of the MAX200, MAX205, MAX206, and MAX211 conserves energy in battery- powered systems. The MAX213 has an active-low shut- down and an active-high receiver enable control. Two receivers of the MAX213 are active, allowing ring indica- tor (RI) to be monitored easily using only 75µW power. The MAX211 and MAX213 are available in a 28-pin wide small-outline (SO) package and a 28-pin shrink small-outline (SSOP) package, which occupies only 40% of the area of the SO. The MAX207 is now avail- able in a 24-pin SO package and a 24-pin SSOP. The MAX203 and MAX205 use no external components, and are recommended for applications with limited circuit board space.

The LM2574 series of regulators are monolithic integrated circuits ideally suited for easy and convenient design of a step−down switching regulator (buck converter). All circuits of this series are capable of driving a 0.5 A load with excellent line and load regulation. These devices are available in fixed output voltages of 3.3 V, 5.0 V, 12 V, 15 V, and an adjustable output version. These regulators were designed to minimize the number of external components to simplify the power supply design. Standard series of inductors optimized for use with the LM2574 are offered by several different inductor manufacturers. Since the LM2574 converter is a switch−mode power supply, its efficiency is significantly higher in comparison with popular three−terminal linear regulators, especially with higher input voltages. In most cases, the power dissipated by the LM2574 regulator is so low, that the copper traces on the printed circuit board are normally the only heatsink needed and no additional heatsinking is required. The LM2574 features include a guaranteed ±4% tolerance on output voltage within specified input voltages and output load conditions, and ±10% on the oscillator frequency (±2% over 0°C to +125°C). External shutdown is included, featuring 60 μA (typical) standby current. The output switch in

The MC14067B/D is a 16-channel multiplexer/demultiplexer manufactured by Semiconductor Components Industries, LLC. It features low ON resistance and very low leakage current, making it suitable for both digital and analog applications.

The LM1084 is a series of low dropout voltage positive regulators with a maximum dropout of 1.5V at 5A of load current. It has the same pin-out as National Semiconductor’s industry standard LM317. The LM1084 is available in an adjustable version, which can set the output voltage with only two external resistors. It is also available in three fixed voltages: 3.3V, 5.0V and 12.0V. The fixed versions integrate the adjust resistors. The LM1084 circuit includes a zener trimmed bandgap reference, current limiting and thermal shutdown.

The MC14551B is a digitally-controlled analog switch. This device implements a 4PDT solid state switch with low ON impedance and very low OFF Leakage current. Control of analog signals up to the complete supply voltage range can be achieved.

The ADC088S022 is a low-power, eight-channel CMOS 8-bit analog-to-digital converter specified for conversion through- put rates of 50 kSPS to 200 kSPS. The converter is based on a successive-approximation register architecture with an in- ternal track-and-hold circuit. It can be configured to accept up to eight input signals at inputs IN0 through IN7. The output serial data is straight binary and is compatible with several standards, such as SPI™, QSPI™, MICROW- IRE™, and many common DSP serial interfaces. The ADC088S022 may be operated with independent ana- log and digital supplies. The analog supply (VA) can range from +2.7V to +5.25V, and the digital supply (VD) can range from +2.7V to VA. Normal power consumption using a +3V or +5V supply is 0.9 mW and 5.5 mW, respectively. The power- down feature reduces the power consumption to 0.03 µW using a +3V supply and 0.15 µW using a +5V supply. The ADC088S022 is packaged in a 16-lead TSSOP pack- age. Operation over the extended industrial temperature range of −40˚C to +105˚C is guaranteed.
