The ADC083000 is a CMOS high performance analog-to-digital converter that provides 8-bit resolution at sampling rates up to 3.4 GSPS. The device consumes a typical 1.9 Watts from a single 1.9 Volt supply, and is guaranteed to have no missing codes over the full operating temperature range.

The DAC101C081 is a 10-bit, single channel, voltage-output digital-to-analog converter (DAC) that operates from a +2.7V to 5.5V supply. It has a rail-to-rail output swing and a settling time of 6µs. The DAC101C081 uses the supply voltage as the reference to provide the widest dynamic output range and typically consumes 132µA while operating at 5.0V. It is available in 6-lead TSOT and LLP packages and provides three address options (pin selectable). As an alternative, the DAC101C085 provides nine I2C addressing options and uses an external reference. It has the same performance and settling time as the DAC101C081 and is available in an 8-lead MSOP package. The DAC101C081 and DAC101C085 use a 2-wire, I2C-compatible serial interface that operates in all three speed modes, including high speed mode (3.4MHz). An external address selection pin allows up to three DAC101C081 or nine DAC101C085 devices per 2-wire bus. Pin compatible alternatives to the DAC101C081 are available that provide additional address options. The DAC101C081 and DAC101C085 each have a 16-bit register that controls the mode of operation, the power-down condition, and the output voltage. A power-on reset circuit ensures that the DAC output powers up to zero volts. A power-down feature reduces power consumption to less than a microWatt. Their low power consumption makes them ideal for power-limited applications.

The LM48820 is a ground-referenced, fixed-gain audio power amplifier capable of delivering 95mW of continuous average power into a 16Ω single-ended load, with less than 1% THD +N from a 3V power supply. It features a new circuit technology that utilizes a charge pump to generate a negative reference voltage, eliminating the need for output-coupling capacitors typically used with normal single-ended loads. The LM48820 does not require output coupling capacitors or bootstrap capacitors, making it ideally suited for mobile phone and other portable applications.

LP3995 Micropower 150mA CMOS Voltage Regulator with Active Shutdown is a low-power switching regulator manufactured by ON Semiconductor. It has low noise, low quiescent current and other characteristics, and is suitable for powering RF/Analog devices. The device also has internal short circuit current and over-temperature protection functions.

LMS4684 is a low on-resistance, low voltage dual SPDT analog switch that operates from a 1.8V to 5.5V supply. The LMS4684 features a 0.5Ω RON for its NC switch and 0.8Ω RON for its NO switch at a 2.7V supply. The digital logic inputs are 1.8V logic- compatible with a 2.7V to 3.3V supply. The LMS4684 is available in the 12 bump micro SMD and the 10 lead LLP miniature packages. These PCB real estate saving packages offer extreme performance while saving money with small footprints.

The LP3988 is a 150mA low dropout regulator designed specially to meet requirements of Portable battery- applications. The LP3988 is designed to work with a space saving, small 1µF ceramic capacitor. The LP3988 features an Error Flag output that indicates a faulty output condition. The LP3988’s performance is optimized for battery powered systems to deliver low noise, extremely low dropout voltage and low quiescent current. Regulator ground current increases only slightly in dropout, further prolonging the battery life. Power supply rejection is better than 60 dB at low frequencies and starts to roll off at 10 kHz. High power supply rejection is maintained down to lower input voltage levels common to battery operated circuits. The device is ideal for mobile phone and similar battery powered wireless applications. It provides up to 150 mA, from a 2.5V to 6V input, consuming less than 1 µA in disable mode and has fast turn-on time less than 200µs.

The LM4921 is a low voltage I2S 16-bit stereo DAC with stereo headphone power amplifiers and volume control. It is primarily designed for demanding applications in mobile phones and other portable communication device applications.

LMV331 is a single channel comparator, LMV393 is a dual channel comparator, and LMV339 is a quad channel comparator. They are low voltage (2.7-5V) versions of LM393/339, which are specified at 5-30V. LMV331 offers space-saving SC70-5 and SOT23-5 packages. LMV393 is available in 8-pin SOIC and 8-pin MSOP packages. LMV339 is available in 14-pin SOIC and 14-pin TSSOP packages. LMV331/393/339 are the most cost-effective solution in circuit design for portable consumer products where space, low voltage, low power, and price are the primary specifications. They offer specifications that meet or exceed the familiar LM393/339, but with only a fraction of the supply current. The chips are built with National's advanced Submicron Silicon-Gate BiCMOS process. LMV331/393/339 have bipolar input and output stages for improved noise performance.

The LM3501 is a synchronous step-up DC/DC converter ideal for white LED applications, including cellular phone back-lighting, battery-powered applications, low current, and high efficiency.

The LM2796 is a charge-pump based white-LED driver that is ideal for mobile phone display backlighting. It can drive up to 7 LEDs in parallel with up to 20mA through each LED. Regulated internal current sources deliver excellent current and brightness matching in all LEDs. The LED-driver current sources are split into two independently controlled groups. The primary group (4 LEDs) can be used to backlight the main phone display. The second group (3 LEDs) can be used to backlight a secondary display or to provide other lighting features (keypad LEDs, for example). Brightness of the two groups can be adjusted independently with pulse- width modulated (PWM) digital signals. The LM2796 works off an extended Li-Ion input voltage range (2.7V to 5.5V). Voltage boost is achieved with a high- efficiency 3/2x-gain charge pump. The LM2796 is available in National’s chip-scale 18-bump micro SMD package.

The LM78 Microprocessor System Hardware Monitor is a highly integrated Data Acquisition system for hardware monitoring of servers, Personal Computers, or virtually any microprocessor based system. In a PC, the LM78 can be used to monitor power supply voltages, temperatures, and fan speeds. Actual values for these inputs can be read at any time, and programmable WATCHDOG limits in the LM78 activate a fully programmable and maskable interrupt system with two outputs. The LM78 has an on-chip temperature sensor, 5 positive analog inputs, two inverting inputs (for monitoring negative voltages), and an 8-bit ADC. An input is provided for the overtemperature outputs of additional temperature sensors and this is linked to the interrupt system. The LM78 provides inputs for three fan tachometer outputs. Additional inputs are provided for Chassis Intrusion detection circuits, VID monitor inputs, and chainable interrupt. The LM78 provides both ISA and Serial Bus interfaces. A 32-byte auto-increment RAM is provided for POST (Power On Self Test) code storage.

LM78LXX Series Three Terminal Positive Regulators

The LF147/LF347 is a low cost, high speed, quad JFET input operational amplifier with an internally trimmed input offset voltage (BI-FET II™ technology). The device requires a low supply current and yet maintains a large gain bandwidth product and a fast slew rate. In addition, well matched high voltage JFET input devices provide very low input bias and offset currents. The LF147 is pin compatible with the standard LM148. This feature allows designers to immediately upgrade the overall performance of existing LF148 and LM124 designs. The LF147 may be used in applications such as high speed integrators, fast D/A converters, sample-and-hold circuits and many other circuits requiring low input offset voltage, low input bias current, high input impedance, high slew rate and wide bandwidth. The device has low noise and offset voltage drift.

The LMK01000 family is a high-performance clock buffer, divider, and distributor from National Semiconductor Corporation that offers 1.6GHz of performance. It features best-in-class noise performance and is pin-to-pin and footprint compatible with the LMK03000/LMK02000 family of precision clock conditioners. The LMK01000 family has two programmable clock inputs (CLKin0 and CLKin1) that allow the user to dynamically switch between different clock domains. Each device has eight clock outputs with independently programmable dividers and delay adjustments. The outputs of the device can be easily synchronized by an external pin (SYNC*).
