MAX4888B/MAX4888C are dual 8.0Gbps passive switches, ideal for switching two possible destinations of PCI ExpressM (PCIe) data. They support various high-speed interfaces, have superior bandwidth return loss, and come in a small form factor.

MAX14759/MAX14761/MAX14763 are analog switches from Maxim Integrated Products. They can pass bipolar signals beyond their supply rails. They operate from a single +3.0V to +5.5V supply and support signals in the -25V to +25V range. The MAX14778 is a dual 4:1 analog multiplexer that supports analog signals up to ±25V with a single 3.0 to 5.5V supply. Each multiplexer has separate control inputs to allow independent switching, making the device ideal for multiplexing different communications signals with the same connector pins.

The MAX14578E/MAX14578AE are USB charger detectors compliant with USB Battery Charging Revision 1.1. The MAX14508E–MAX14511E/MAX14509AE are high-ESD-protected DPDT switches that multiplex Hi-Speed (480Mbps) USB and analog signals such as AC-coupled audio or video. These devices combine the low on-capacitance (CON) and low on-resistance (RON) necessary for high-performance switching applications in portable electronic devices, and include an internal negative supply to pass audio signals that swing below ground (down to VCC - 5.0V). The MAX14508E–MAX14511E/MAX14509AE also handle USB low-/full-speed signaling and operate from a +2.7V to +5.0V supply. The MAX14504/MAX14505/MAX14505A/MAX14506 are dual single-pole/double-throw (SPDT) audio switches with negative signal capability that allows signals from -VCC to +VCC to pass without distortion. They feature high continuous current ratings of 550mA (continuous) and 850mA (pulsed). These analog switches have low on-resistance, low supply current, and operate from a single +2.3V to +5.5V supply. The MAX14505/MAX14505A have internal shunt switches that discharge the audio amplifier AC-coupling capacitance at the normally open (NO) terminals. This reduces click-and-pop sounds that occur when switching audio signals between precharged points. The MAX14504/ MAX14505/MAX14505A/MAX14506 control the switches with control bit, CB, and feature an enable input, EN, that place COM in a high-impedance mode. The MAX4991-MAX4994 are low on-resistance analog switches that operate from a single +1.8V to +5.5V supply. Their features include a slow turn-on time to reduce clicks and pops caused by coupling capacitors and audio amplifiers with a DC output bias. This feature provides click-and-pop reduction without adding additional parts for existing architectures. The MAX4991-MAX4992 are dual single-pole/double-throw (SPDT) switches, while the MAX4993-MAX4994 are double-pole/double-throw (DPDT) switches. The MAX4993-MAX4994 feature an active-low enable input (EN) that sets all the channels to high impedance and reduces supply current when driven high. MAX4996/MAX4996L are triple DPDT analog switches that operate from a single +2.5V to +5.5V supply, and feature 2.0Ω (typ) on-resistance, low 6pF (typ) on-capacitance, and low power-supply current consumption. The MAX4996/MAX4996L combine the low capacitance and low resistance necessary for high-frequency switching applications in portable electronics. MAX4996/MAX4996L have three logic inputs to control the switches in pairs. MAX4996 has an active-high enable input (EN) to disable the switches, while the MAX4996L has an active-low enable input (EN) to disable the switches. The enable input decreas- es the supply current and also places the COM_ out- puts in a high-impedance state. The MAX4996/MAX4996L feature a 5µA (max) supply- current consumption when the logic inputs are not rail-to-rail. This feature is especially valuable in applica- tions where direct interface to low-voltage processors is necessary. MAX4996/MAX4996L are available in a space- saving 24-pin (3.5mm x 3.5mm) TQFN package and operate over the -40°C to +85°C temperature range.

The MAX4947/MAX4948 are low-voltage, low-power, high-performance analog switches that operate from a single +1.8V to +5.5V supply and have a low switching capacitance of 30pF for high switching speeds and low losses.

The MAX4989 is a bidirectional 2-of-4 USB 2.0 crosspoint switch. The MAX4989 features the low on-capacitance and low on-resistance necessary to switch USB 2.0 low-/full-/Hi-Speed signals at data rates up to 480Mbps. This device allows any 2-of-4 USB pairs to be connected together and is configured through a simple 3-input control logic interface. The MAX4989 operates from a single +2.7V to +5.5V supply and features an internal charge pump to permit full rail-to-rail swing. This device also features a high-impedance shutdown mode to reduce supply current to 100nA (typ).
