The MAX4715/MAX4716 are low on-resistance, low-voltage, single-pole/single-throw (SPST) analog switches that operate from a +1.6V to +3.6V single supply. The MAX4715 is normally open (NO), and the MAX4716 is normally closed (NC). These devices also have fast switching speeds (tON = 18ns max, tOFF = 12ns max). When powered from a +3V supply, the MAX4715/MAX4716 offer 0.4Ω max on-resistance (RON) with 0.1Ω max RON flatness. Their digital logic inputs are +1.8V CMOS compatible when using a single +3V supply. The MAX4715 is pin compatible with the MAX4594, and the MAX4716 is pin compatible with the MAX4595. The MAX4715/MAX4716 are available in SC70-5 packages.

The MAX4684/MAX4685 are low on-resistance, low-voltage, dual single-pole/double-throw (SPDT) analog switches that operate from a single +1.8V to +5.5V supply. The MAX4684 features a 0.5Ω (max) on-resistance for its normally closed (NC) switch and a 0.8Ω (max) on-resistance for its normally open (NO) switch at a +2.7V supply. The MAX4685 features a 0.8Ω max on-resistance for both its NO and NC switches at a +2.7V supply. Both parts feature break-before-make switching action (2ns) with tON = 50ns and tOFF = 40ns at +3V. The digital logic inputs are 1.8V logic-compatible with a +2.7V to +3.3V supply. The MAX4684/MAX4685 are packaged in the chipscale package (UCSP), significantly reducing the required PCB area. The chip occupies only a 2.0mm x 1.50mm area. The 4 x 3 array of solder bumps are spaced with a 0.5mm bump pitch.

MAX4594-MAX4597 Low-Voltage, Single-Supply, 10 Ohm SPST CMOS Analog Switches

The MAX4651/MAX4652/MAX4653 quad analog switches feature 4Ω max on-resistance (RON) when operating from a single +5V supply. RON is matched between switches to 0.2Ω (max) and is flat (0.8Ω max) over the specified signal range. Each switch can handle Rail-to-Rail® analog signals. Off-leakage current is 0.1nA at +25°C. These switches are ideal in low-distortion applications and are the preferred solution over mechanical relays in automated test equipment or applications where current switching is required. They have low power requirements, require less board space, and are more reliable than mechanical relays. The MAX4651/MAX4652/MAX4653 operate from a single +1.8V to +5.5V supply, making them ideal for use in battery-powered applications. The MAX4651 has four normally closed (NC) switches, the MAX4652 has four normally open (NO) switches, and the MAX4653 has two NO and two NC switches.

The MAX4599 is a single-channel low-voltage switch produced by Maxim. It operates at a supply voltage of +2.0V to +5.5V, has a switch resistance of 60 ohms, and a switching time of 30ns. It comes in SC70, µDFN, and SOT23 packages.

MAX4638/MAX4639 are single 8:1 and dual 4:1 CMOS analog multiplexers/demultiplexers (muxes/demuxes). Each mux operates from a single +1.8V to +5V supply or dual ±2.5V supplies. These devices fea- ture 3.5Ω on-resistance (RON) when powered with a single +5V supply and have -75dB off-isolation and -85dB crosstalk from the output to each off channel. The switching times are 18ns tON and 7ns tOFF. They feature a -3dB 85MHz bandwidth and a guaranteed 0.25nA leakage current at +25°C. A +1.8V to +5.5V operating range makes the MAX4638/ MAX4639 ideal for battery-powered, portable instru- ments. All channels guarantee break-before-make switching. These parts feature bidirectional operation and can handle Rail-to-Rail® analog signals. All control inputs are TTL/CMOS-logic compatible. Decoding is in standard BCD format, and an enable input is provided to simplify cascading of devices. These devices are avail- able in small 16-pin thin QFN, TSSOP, and SO packages, as well as a 20-pin thin QFN package.

The MAX4675/MAX4676 single analog switches have 3Ω (max) on-resistance (RON) and 0.7Ω flatness when operating from dual ±5V supplies. These switches can handle Rail-to-Rail® analog signals. Off-leakage current is 0.1nA at TA = +25°C. The MAX4675/MAX4676 are ideal in low-distortion applications and are the preferred solution over mechanical relays in automated test equipment or applications where current switching is required. They are more reliable than mechanical relays, have low power requirements (<1µA), and are available in a space-saving 6-pin SOT23 package. The MAX4675 has a single normally open (NO) switch, and the MAX4676 has a single normally closed (NC) switch. The MAX4675/MAX4676 operate from either a single +2.7V to +5.5V or dual ±2.7V to ±5.5V supplies, making them ideal for use in digital card applications and single-ended 75Ω systems.

The MAX4645/MAX4646 are single-pole, single-throw (SPST) analog switches with a typical on-resistance (RON) of 2.5Ω and a flatness of 0.4Ω. The switches can handle Rail-to-Rail analog signals and have low power requirements, small board space, and high reliability compared to mechanical relays. They are ideal for low-distortion applications and are the preferred solution in automated test equipment or applications where current switching is required. They operate from a +1.8V to +5V supply, making them suitable for battery-powered applications. The switches have fast switching speeds and low leakage currents. MAX4677/MAX4678/MAX4679 are quad analog switches with on-resistance of 1.6 ohms, operating from dual ±5V supply. They feature low distortion and reliability.

The MAX4635/MAX4636 are fast, dual 4Ω single-pole/double-throw (SPDT) analog switches that operate with supply voltages from +1.8V to +5.5V. High switching speeds, 1Ω on-resistance flatness, and low power consumption make these devices ideal for audio/video, communications, and battery-operated devices. Containing two independently controllable SPDT switches in 10-pin µMAX and 10-pin 3mm x 3mm thin QFN packages, the MAX4635/MAX4636 use little board space, and have low power consumption ensuring minimal impact on your power budget. The analog signal range extends to the supply rails. The MAX4635 has inverted logic compared to the MAX4636.

The MAX4634 is a low-voltage multiple switch device launched by MAXIM company, which has the characteristics of low resistance, low leakage current and fast switching. It is suitable for battery-powered equipment, audio and video signal routing, low-voltage data acquisition systems, sampling and holding circuits, and communication circuits.

The MAX4644 is a single-pole/double-throw (SPDT) switch that operates from a single supply ranging from +1.8V to +5.5V. It provides low 4Ω on-resistance (RON) as well as 1Ω RON flatness over the entire analog-signal range. The MAX4644 offers fast switching times of less than 20ns while ensuring break-before-make operation. It typically consumes only 0.01μW of quiescent power, making it suitable for use in low-power, portable applications. The MAX4644’s features include low leakage currents over the entire temperature range, TTL/CMOS-compatible digital logic, and excellent AC characteristics. The MAX4674 is a low-voltage CMOS analog switch containing four 2:1 multiplexers/demultiplexer. When powered from a single +5V supply, it features a low 4Ω max on-resistance (RON), 0.4Ω max RON matching between channels, and 0.8Ω RON flatness over the entire signal range. Off-leakage current is only 0.5nA max at +25°C. The MAX4674 features fast turn-on (tON) and turn-off (tOFF) times of 18ns and 6ns, respectively, and is available in QFN, QSOP, TSSOP, and SO packages. This low-voltage multiplexer operates with a +1.8V to +5.5V single supply. All digital inputs have +0.8V and +2.4V logic thresholds, ensuring TTL/CMOS-logic compatibility with +5V operation.

The MAX4641/MAX4642/MAX4643 are monolithic, dual, single-pole/single-throw (SPST) switches that can operate from a single supply ranging from +1.8V to +5.5V. The MAX4641/MAX4642/MAX4643 provide low 4Ω on-resistance (RON), 0.6Ω RON matching between channels, and 1Ω RON flatness over the entire analog signal range. These devices offer fast switching times of less than 20ns while consuming less than 0.01µW of quiescent power. The MAX4641 has two normally open (NO) switches, and the MAX4642 has two normally closed (NC) switches. The MAX4643 has one NO switch and one NC switch. All three devices have low 0.35nA leakage currents over the entire temperature range. The MAX4641/ MAX4642/MAX4643 are available in small 8-pin µMAX and 8-pin QFN packages.
