About this manual

The Philips UDA1355H is a single-chip stereo audio codec that integrates an IEC 60958 decoder and encoder with digital-to-analog converters (DAC) and analog-to-digital converters (ADC). It employs bitstream conversion techniques and supports selectable SPDIF inputs accepting Level I, II, and III timing, as well as a single SPDIF output capable of generating Level II signals with CMOS levels.

The device features a 24-bit data path in both its interpolator and decimator filters. It supports sampling frequencies from 16 to 100 kHz and includes programmable gain amplifiers (PGA) and digital volume controls. Control is achieved via static pins or microcontroller interfaces using L3-bus or I2C-bus protocols.
