ST BTA/BTB08 T8 Series handbook

The BTA/BTB08 and T8 series are triacs suitable for general purpose AC switching, with features of snubberless, logic level, and standard 8A. They can be used as an ON/OFF function in applications such as static relays, heating regulation, and induction motor starting circuits, or for phase control operation in light dimmers and motor speed controllers. The snubberless versions are recommended for use on inductive loads due to their high commutation performances.
