This datasheet details the ROHM BP5275 series of 3-terminal non-isolated step-down DC/DC converters. These products use a synchronous rectification system and integrate a control circuit, switching element, coil, and input/output capacitors, making operation stable without the need for external components. The high conversion efficiency and original heat dissipation structure enable the configuration of ultra-compact switching power supplies. It is possible to output 500mA without the need for a heat sink (800mA with a heat sink). In addition, the devices are pin-compatible with conventional TO-220 LDO regulators, making replacement easy. The low ripple voltage and high-precision output ensure stable operation against fluctuating main power supply voltages, making these devices ideal for use as local power supplies (e.g., for microcontrollers).
