This document introduces Aries' custom design and production capabilities, as well as the specifications and features of two oscillator sockets they offer.
The Aries oscillator sockets are offered in 14‑pin (1107741) and 8‑pin (1108800) versions. They feature a four‑pin design that fits standard oscillator packages, can be stacked end‑to‑end or side‑to‑side, and are machine‑insertable.
Technical specifications include a black UL 94V‑0 glass‑filled nylon body, brass alloy pins, beryllium‑copper contacts with gold and nickel plating, a 3 A current rating, and an operating temperature up to 221 °F (105 °C). Ordering options cover tin/lead or tin‑only shell finishes, and recommended PCB hole size is .030 in + .002 in.
