The MAX9360/MAX9361 are low-skew, single LVTTL/ TTL/CMOS-to-differential LVECL/ECL translators designed for high-speed signal and clock driver appli- cations.
The MAX9360 and MAX9361 are low‑skew, single LVTTL/TTL/CMOS‑to‑differential LVECL/ECL translators designed for high‑speed signal and clock driver applications. The MAX9360 operates from a 3.0‑3.6 V supply and the MAX9361 from a 4.5‑5.5 V supply, both using a –2.375 V to –5.5 V negative supply for the differential output. Typical propagation delays are 440 ps for the MAX9360 and 810 ps for the MAX9361, with output swing of about 550 mV.
The datasheet provides absolute maximum ratings, DC and AC electrical characteristics, pin descriptions, and package information (8‑pin SOT23 and 8‑pin SO). Recommended output termination is 50 Ω to –2 V, and the devices operate over –40 °C to +85 °C. Ordering information and revision history are also included.
| Supply Voltage Range (MAX9360) | VCC 3.0‑3.6 V, VEE –2.375 to –5.5 V |
|---|---|
| Supply Voltage Range (MAX9361) | VCC 4.5‑5.5 V, VEE –2.375 to –5.5 V |
| Typical Propagation Delay | MAX9360 440 ps, MAX9361 810 ps |
| Operating Temperature Range | -40 °C to +85 °C |
The MAX9360 operates with VCC 3.0‑3.6 V and VEE –2.375 to –5.5 V, while the MAX9361 uses VCC 4.5‑5.5 V and the same VEE range.
Typical propagation delay is 440 ps for the MAX9360 and 810 ps for the MAX9361.
Outputs should be terminated with a 50 Ω resistor to –2 V.
Both devices are offered in 8‑pin SOT23 (code K8‑1) and 8‑pin SO (code S8‑2) packages.
