About this manual

The DRV8824 is a bipolar stepper‑motor driver IC that integrates two H‑bridge drivers, a microstepping indexer, and programmable decay mode. It supports a wide supply range, up to 1.6 A continuous output current, and includes internal protection for over‑current, short‑circuit, undervoltage lockout and over‑temperature. The device is supplied in a 28‑pin HTSSOP package with PowerPAD technology.

The document contains functional block diagrams, pin‑out tables, absolute‑maximum ratings, recommended operating conditions, electrical characteristics, and detailed descriptions of current regulation and decay modes. It also provides land‑pattern data for PCB layout and the standard TI warranty and safety notices.
