About this manual

The EZ‑USB AT2LP™ (CY7C68300B/CY7C68301B and CY7C68320/CY7C68321) is a fixed‑function USB 2.0 to ATA/ATAPI bridge that provides mass‑storage connectivity for hard drives, CD/DVD devices, MP3 players and other ATA‑compliant devices. It supports both self‑powered and bus‑powered operation, USB high‑speed (480 Mbps) and full‑speed (12 Mbps), and complies with the USB Mass Storage Class Bulk‑Only Transport and ATA/ATAPI‑6 specifications.

The bridge is offered in lead‑free 56‑pin SSOP, 56‑pin QFN and 100‑pin TQFP packages, each with detailed pin‑out tables. Pin descriptions include ATA data lines, USB D+/D‑ signals, power pins, and optional HID/GPIO functions for backup, power‑off and LED notifications. A 4‑Kbyte FIFO buffer and an external serial EEPROM are used for data handling and configuration.
