This document describes a special feature force transducer, which features tensile/compressive force transducers, nominal forces ranging from 100 kN to 500 kN, variable installation options, flange connection centered on both sides, low overall height, and high transverse force stability.
The U5 series from HBM are tensile/compressive force transducers designed for high stability and low overall height. They are offered with variable installation options, including flange connections centered on both sides and a range of cable and connector accessories.
The datasheet lists detailed technical specifications such as nominal force, accuracy class, sensitivity, electrical resistances, temperature ranges, and protection rating. It also includes order codes for different measuring ranges and electrical connection types, as well as mounting accessories for tensile‑force measurements.

The U5 is offered with nominal forces of 100 kN, 200 kN, and 500 kN.

A tensile‑force adapter together with a bearing plate is provided for measuring tensile forces.
