Scotch� 23 is a self-fusing EPR-based high voltage jointing tape from 3M. It is suitable for low voltage applications and joints up to 69 kV.
Scotch® 23 electrical tape is a highly conformable self‑fusing EPR (Ethylene Propylene Rubber) based, high‑voltage jointing tape. It provides excellent electrical properties and can be used for insulation of low‑voltage applications as well as joints up to 69 kV, and for primary insulation of cables from 600 V to 69 kV.
The tape is supplied in three sizes: 19 mm × 9.15 m (order code 131‑6019), 25 mm × 9.15 m (order code 131‑6020) and 38 mm × 9.15 m (order code 131‑6021). It is compatible with all solid dielectric cable insulations, including polyethylene, XLPE, PVC, butyl rubber, EPR and oil‑based rubber.

The tape is rated for jointing applications up to 69 kV.
It works with polyethylene, cross‑linked polyethylene (XLPE), PVC, butyl rubber, EPR and oil‑based rubber.
