This document is a data sheet for the C167CR and C167SR 16-bit single-chip microcontrollers. It describes the features and characteristics of these microcontrollers.
The C167CR and C167SR are 16‑bit single‑chip microcontrollers from Infineon Technologies. They feature a high‑performance CPU with a 4‑stage pipeline, up to 25 MHz or 33 MHz clock speeds, and extensive on‑chip peripherals such as A/D converters, CAN interface, and multiple timers.
The datasheet provides a full description of pin configurations for both MQFP‑144 and BGA‑176 packages, electrical parameters, memory organization, and ordering information. It also includes mechanical drawings and package outlines for designers.
| CPU architecture | 16‑bit with 4‑stage pipeline |
|---|---|
| Instruction cycle time | 80 ns at 25 MHz, 60 ns at 33 MHz |
| Multiplication time | 400 ns (16×16 bits) at 25 MHz, 303 ns at 33 MHz |
| Division time | 800 ns (32÷16 bits) at 25 MHz, 606 ns at 33 MHz |
| Address space | 16 Mbytes linear address space |
| On‑chip RAM | 2 Kbytes internal RAM, 2 Kbytes extension RAM |
| On‑chip ROM | 128 Kbytes or 32 Kbytes Mask ROM |
| Interrupt system | 16‑priority‑level with 56 sources |
| A/D converter | 16‑channel, 10‑bit, conversion time down to 7.8 µs |
| CAN interface | On‑chip CAN 2.0B, 15 message objects |
The instruction cycle time is 80 ns at a 25 MHz CPU clock and 60 ns at a 33 MHz clock.
Each device provides 2 Kbytes of internal RAM and an additional 2 Kbytes of extension RAM.
The C167CR is available in a 144‑pin MQFP package and a 176‑pin BGA package.
