This application note presents a method developed using the Agilent 1290 Infinity LC Method Development System and the Agilent Method Scouting Wizard software for the analysis of 20 amines derived from banned azo dyes. Different columns, mobile phases, and temperatures were screened in an automated manner. Initial screening analyses were performed using LC-MS, while method optimization was done with diode-array detection. The performance of the final method was evaluated.

Methods are optimized for flow rates, gradient and reproducibility under acidic conditions that contain trifluoroacetic acid.

This paper introduces the influence of silica particle size and pore size on insulin separation. The results show that a larger pore size and a smaller particle size lead to better separation of insulin. Agilent Poroshell 120 column with pore size (120Å) and superficially porous particle size (2.7µm) is the best choice for insulin analysis.

Fast Analysis of Zanthoxylum nitidum Using Agilent Poroshell 120 EC-18 Columns

MassHunter Study Manager is a software tool that automates LC/MS analyses for drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics (DMPK) studies, particularly for multiple sample sets and studies queued up for analysis on a single instrument. This tool enables LC/MS assays to be fully automated from compound MRM optimization to LC/MS method creation, data acquisition, data processing, and report generation. This workfl ow is successfully illustrated with in vitro metabolic stability assays of 38 pharmaceutical compounds using MassHunter Study Manager software interfaced to an Agilent 6460 Triple Quadrupole LC/MS System.1 This software tool greatly streamlines the LC/MS workfl ow and increases analytical productivity.
