This document introduces the use of Agilent RapidFire/MS Systems for high-throughput screening. By detecting native analytes without the need for labeling, this technology overcomes the challenges of small substrates and difficult-to-detect modified products in traditional methods, thus converting low-throughput intractable assays into high-throughput assays similar to plate-based optical methods. Using stearoyl-coenzyme A desaturase (SCD) as an example, the power of Agilent RapidFire/MS Systems for screening intractable targets is demonstrated.

This application note compares the UV sensitivity and detection limits of the Agilent 1260 Infinity Analytical SFC System and the Agilent 1200 Series LC System. Two applications were analyzed using the same column, detector, and separation conditions for both SFC and RPLC. This document investigates the enantiomer separation of six profen drugs using Daicel immobilized polysaccharide-derived chiral columns and the Agilent 1260 Infinity Analytical SFC System. Methanol, ethanol, 2-propanol, and acetonitrile were used in combination with trifluoroacetic acid as the mobile phase modifier in the supercritical CO2. Systematic studies were conducted to achieve complete resolution of these profen drugs on the given column set by adjusting the mobile phase additive, modifier nature, and its percentage.
