  • ST AN1624 Application note handbook

This application note describes the functionality and how the STSR3 device can be used as the secondary synchronous rectifier driver in Flyback topology switched mode power supplies. A schematic and layout description of a demo board that is able to replace diode rectification with synchronous rectification in Flyback converters is shown below.

  • ST AN1606 Application note handbook

This document describes the features and characteristics of the L4981 PFC controller. It is a high performance device operating in average current mode with many on-chip functions. The driver output stage can deliver 1.5A, which is very important for this type of application.

  • ST AN1550 Application note handbook

  • ST AN1537 Application note handbook

AN1537 application note introduces the standby function of L5991, which can effectively reduce the input power consumption of offline converters at light load, making them compliant with energy saving standards such as EnergyStar, Energy2000 and others.

  • ST AN1513 Application note handbook

  • ST AN1514 Application Note

This paper introduces two double output off-line non isolated SMPS based on the VIPerX2A-E family. The first SMPS is a Buck converter with two positive outputs and the second one is a Buck-Boost converter with two negative outputs.

  • ST AN1439 Application Note

  • ST AN1326 Application Note

This document introduces resonant and quasi-resonant converters which have been developed and proposed as a solution to the difficulties of square-wave converters. Quasi-resonant converters use a tank circuit to create a zero-voltage or zero-current condition for the power switch to turn on or off. Quasi-resonant converters can be classified as Zero-Voltage Switching turn-on (ZVS) or Zero-Current Switching turn-off (ZCS) converters. In ZVS converters, the power switch is dynamically connected in parallel to the tank circuit, and the superposition of the resonant voltage and the DC input voltage generates the zero-voltage condition for the switch to turn on. Conversely, in ZCS converters, the power switch is connected in series to the tank circuit, and the superposition of the resonant current and the normal current flow generates the zero-current condition for the switch to turn off.

  • ST AN1344 Application Note

This document describes the features and characteristics of VIPer100A-E, as well as the implementation and results of a power supply that delivers over 100W for different voltage ranges using a voltage doubler.

  • ST AN1317 Application Note

This document introduces the application range and features of viper20 products

  • ST AN1300 Application Note

This paper presents the operation principle of resonant converters and the two major types. Resonant converters can control the output voltage by changing the frequency, thereby reducing switching losses and electromagnetic interference.

  • ST AN1230 Application Note

LNBP is the integrated solution for supplying/interfacing satellite LNB modules. It gives good performances in a simple and economical way, with a minimum use of external components. It is comprised of functions that realize LNB supplying/interfacing in accordance to the international standards.

  • ST AN1284 Application Note

This application note explains how to use the TSM102 in an SMPS-type battery charger which features: voltage control, current control, low battery detection and end of charge detection.

  • ST AN1283 Application Note

How to use the TSM101 integrated circuit with a switching mode power supply (SMPS) to realize a battery charger

  • ST AN1246 Application Note

The VIPer20ADIP-E is a current mode PWM with a 700 V avalanche rugged Power MOSFET. It can provide an output of 10 W power capability for wide range input, or 20 W for single input voltage range.
