  • ST AN2259 Application note handbook

This application note describes the use of the L5970D/L5973D high intensity LED driver. The driver can operate over a wide range of input voltages to drive a series of LEDs, providing efficient energy source.

  • ST AN2206 Application note handbook

The L6920DB is a high efficiency monolithic step-up switching converter IC especially designed for battery powered applications, thanks to its minimum start-up of 0.8 V, and a minimum operating voltage of 0.6 V. It requires only three external components to realize the conversion from battery voltage to the selected output voltage. It has a minimum output voltage of 1.8 V, which is enough to supply even the most advanced ASICs and microprocessors. The high switching frequency allows users to choose small inductors and output capacitors for their designs. Supervisory functions include Reference Voltage, Low Battery Detection, and Shutdown, which are provided with overcurrent protection.

  • ST AN1790 Application note handbook

This Application Note describes how to connect the STM809, STM810, STM811 and STM812 Reset Circuits to Microprocessor Systems.

  • ST AN1772 Application note handbook

This application note describes the problems with monitoring the power supply during power-up/reset in a microprocessor system. It also explains how the ST family of Reset Circuits can be used to solve them.

  • ST AN2131 Application note handbook

This application note deals with the design of a 3-Phase auxiliary power supply for 150W dual output SMPS, using the L5991 PWM driver and the STC08DE150 ESBT as main switch.

  • ST AN2129 Application note handbook

AN2129 is an application note about L6902D based DC/DC converter, which introduces the dimming method for LED light.

  • ST AN2115 Application note handbook

  • ST AN2067 Application note handbook

This document describes the design of a dimmable white LED power supply using VIPer53. VIPer53 is the first multichip device of the VIPer family, with very low Rdson, capable of delivering a power of 35W in a standard DIP-8 package without a heatsink. The power supply features a wide output voltage range and dimming capability.

  • ST AN2063 Application note handbook

VIPerX2A family has ultra-low standby power dissipation, burst mode operation in standby, 72% typical efficiency, current mode controller, output short circuit protection, thermal shut down protection.

  • ST AN2052 Application note handbook

This report describes how the frequency modulation reduces electromagnetic interference on an SMPS using Viper53 as primary PWM-switch. For your reference, comparison of EMI measurement data will be presented.

  • ST AN1621 Application note handbook

  • ST AN1620 Application note handbook

This note describes an off-line autoranging (85Vac-264Vac) battery charger designed to operate in three differ- ent functional modes: – constant voltage – constant current – constant power

  • ST AN1518 Application note handbook

  • ST AN1376 Application note handbook

  • ST AN1330 Application note handbook

The L5970D is a step-down monolithic power switching regulator capable of delivering up to 1 A at output voltages from 1.235 V to 35 V. The operating input voltage ranges from 4.4 V to 36 V. It has been designed using BCDV technology and the power switching element is implemented through a P-channel DMOS transistor. It does not require a bootstrap capacitor, and the duty cycle can range up to 100%. An internal oscillator fixes the switching frequency at 250 kHz. This minimizes the LC output filter. A synchronization pin is available for cases where a higher frequency (up to 500 kHz) is required. Pulse-by-pulse and frequency foldback overcurrent protection offer effective short circuit protection. Other features are voltage feed-forward, protection against feedback disconnection, inhibit and thermal shutdown.
