TrioMol Isolation Reagent allows the isolation of total RNA, DNA, and protein from the same sample in a single-step liquid-phase separation. The procedure is an improvement of the single-step RNA isolation method developed by Chomczynski and Sacchi. This reagent performs well with both small and large quantities of tissue or cells. The cells may be of human, animal, plant, or bacterial origin.
This document provides step-by-step protocols for isolating RNA, DNA, and protein from biological samples using the TrioMol Isolation Reagent. It includes storage instructions, reagent requirements, and troubleshooting tips for common issues. The reagent is designed for use with tissues and cells from human, animal, plant, or bacterial sources.
The manual covers homogenization, phase separation, precipitation, washing, and redissolving steps for each molecule type, with specific conditions for each. It also includes guidelines for avoiding contamination and degradation, and storage recommendations for long-term use.
| Storage Temperature | 2-8°C |
|---|---|
| Reagent Type | Monophasic solution of phenol and guanidine thiocyanate |
Store at 2-8°C.
Chloroform, isopropyl alcohol, 75% Ethanol (in DEPC-treated water), RNase-free water or 0.5% SDS (in DEPC-treated water).
Resuspend the RNA pellet in DEPC-treated water or DEPC-treated 0.5% SDS, then incubate at 55°C to 60°C for 10-15 minutes.
