This document is a technical manual for M00273 cell line, which can be used for functional assays for FFA1 receptor (GPR40).
The GenScript Human Recombinant Free Fatty Acid Receptor 1 (FFA1) stable cell line is supplied as a research‑grade CHO‑K1 cell line expressing the human GPR40 receptor. It is intended for functional assays of the FFA1 receptor in drug discovery and basic research.
The document includes an introduction, representative calcium‑flux data, detailed thawing and subculturing procedures, recommended culture media composition, storage instructions, and the Limited Use License Agreement governing the product’s use.

Remove the vial from the liquid‑nitrogen tank, thaw quickly in a 37 °C water‑bath, decontaminate the outside with 70 % ethanol, transfer to a tube with complete growth medium, centrifuge at 200 × g for 5 min, discard the supernatant and resuspend the pellet in fresh medium before plating.
Add Hygromycin B to 100 µg/ml and Zeocin to 200 µg/ml the day after thawing.
Subcultivation is performed at a 1:3 to 1:8 ratio weekly, and the culture medium is renewed every 2 to 3 days.
Store the frozen vials in liquid nitrogen immediately upon delivery and keep them there until ready to thaw.
