CHO-K1/EP2/Gα15 is a stable cell line expressing human recombinant EP2 receptor, which can be used for functional assay of EP2 receptor.
This manual provides an overview of the human recombinant EP2 prostanoid receptor stable cell line (CHO‑K1/EP2/Ga15) supplied by GenScript. It includes background information on EP2 signaling, representative calcium‑mobilization data, and detailed thawing and subculturing procedures.
The document also contains a limited‑use license agreement and references to scientific literature supporting the cell line’s applications in functional assays for the EP2 receptor.

Two vials of frozen cells are supplied, each containing approximately 3 × 10⁶ cells.
The cell line remains stable for up to 16 passages.
Remove the vial from liquid nitrogen, thaw quickly in a 37 °C water bath, decontaminate the outside with 70 % ethanol, transfer to a tube with 9 ml complete growth medium, centrifuge at 200 × g for 5 min, discard the supernatant, resuspend in fresh medium, plate, and add Hygromycin B (100 µg/ml) and G418 (400 µg/ml) the next day.
