About this manual

The CDC7005 is a high-performance, low-phase noise, and low-skew clock synthesizer and jitter cleaner. It synchronizes the voltage controlled crystal oscillator (VCXO) frequency to the reference clock using programmable predividers M and N. The device supports five differential LVPECL outputs, each of which is selectable by x1, /2, /4, /8, or /16.

Frequently asked questions

What is the power-up condition for the LVPECL outputs?

Power-up control forces LVPECL outputs to 3-state at VCC <1.5 V.

How are the output frequencies controlled?

Each output frequency is selectable by x1, /2, /4, /8, or /16 via SPI.
