About this manual

This document describes an improved liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC/MS) method for the analysis of opioids, cocaine, and cocaine metabolites from blood samples. The method utilizes solid phase extraction followed by LC/MS with ZORBAX Eclipse Plus C18 columns to achieve excellent peak shape and resolution without the need for derivatization. It was developed at the Washington State Toxicology Laboratory for use with the Agilent MSD SL system.
