74ABT16821A is a 20-bit bus-interface D-type flip-flop with positive-edge trigger (3-State) produced by Philips Semiconductors.
The Philips 74ABT16821A and 74ABTH16821A are high-performance BiCMOS devices that combine low static and dynamic power dissipation with high speed and high output drive. These devices feature two 10-bit, edge-triggered registers, each coupled to a 3-State output buffer, allowing them to drive heavily loaded 3-State buses, MOS memories, or MOS microprocessors. The 74ABTH16821A variant incorporates bus-hold data inputs to eliminate the need for external pull-up resistors.
| Output capability | +64mA/-32mA |
|---|---|
| Latch-up protection | Exceeds 500mA |
| ESD protection | Exceeds 2000V |
| Operating temperature range | -40°C to +85°C |
The 74ABT16821A does not have the bus-hold feature, while the 74ABTH16821A incorporates bus-hold data inputs which eliminate the need for external pull-up resistors.
The device contains a 20-bit register, consisting of two 10-bit sections.
The active Low Output Enable (nOE) controls all ten 3-State buffers independently of the register operation.
