The SAA5250 is a CMOS Interface for Data Acquisition and Control (CIDAC) designed for use in conjunction with the Video Input Processor (SAA5230) in a multi-standard teletext decoder.
The SAA5250 is a CMOS interface for data acquisition and control (CIDAC) designed to work with the Philips SAA5230 video input processor in multi‑standard teletext decoders. It retrieves data from selected channels and provides control signals and addressing for a 2 KB buffer memory.
The device supports three teletext standards (DIDON, NABTS, U.K. teletext), offers a maximum conversion rate of 7.5 MHz, and includes programmable framing code, parity control, and prefix handling. It is supplied in 40‑lead DIL (SAA5250P) or 40‑lead mini‑pack (SAA5250T) packages and operates from a +5 V supply.
