About this manual

The UNITRONIC® EtherLine® FD P CAT.5 2 × 2 × 26AWG is a halogen‑free Category 5 high‑speed data transmission cable designed for industrial environments. It complies with EIA/TIA‑568, TSB‑36 and ISO/IEC 11801 standards for CLASS D links and is suitable for flexible power‑chain, moving machines and linear robots in dry or damp interiors.

The cable features a bare copper conductor (0.14 mm, 19 × 0.10), foam‑skin insulation, aluminium‑laminated foil screening, and a PUR, halogen‑free, flame‑retardant sheath (RAL 5021). Electrical properties include a loop resistance of 284 Ω·km, insulation resistance of 48 MΩ·km, and a propagation velocity of 125 % of the speed of light. Mechanical data list a minimum bending radius of 87 mm and a static temperature range of –40 °C to 70 °C.
