This document describes the features of Philips Semiconductors' BYV29X-600 ultrafast rectifier diodes, including low forward voltage drop, fast switching, soft recovery characteristic, high thermal cycling performance, and low thermal resistance.
The BYV29X-600 is an ultrafast, epitaxial rectifier diode intended for use as an output rectifier in high‑frequency switched‑mode power supplies. It is supplied in a conventional leaded SOD113 (SOT186a) isolated package.
The datasheet lists key electrical parameters such as a typical forward voltage of 0.90 V at 8 A, a peak repetitive reverse voltage of 600 V, and thermal characteristics including a junction‑to‑heatsink resistance of 5.5 K/W. Mechanical data, isolation limits and operating temperature ranges are also provided.
| Peak repetitive reverse voltage | 600 V |
|---|---|
| Typical forward voltage (20 A) | 1.30 V |
| Thermal resistance junction‑to‑heatsink | 5.5 K/W |
| Storage temperature range | -40 °C to 150 °C |
The device can withstand a peak repetitive reverse voltage of 600 V.
The junction‑to‑heatsink thermal resistance is 5.5 K/W.
