About this manual

The Philips SAA7182A and SAA7183A are monolithic CMOS digital video encoders that convert YUV video data to NTSC, PAL, SECAM, CVBS, S‑Video, and RGB outputs. They support 13.5 MHz pixel frequency, accept MPEG‑decoded data, and include on‑chip DACs, colour‑bar generator, and optional Macrovision copy‑protection.

The document provides detailed electrical specifications, package options (PLCC84 and QFP80), pin descriptions, block diagrams, and recommended soldering methods for both wave and reflow processes. It also lists limiting values, application notes, and ordering information.
