Frequently asked questions

What is the maximum voltage the TA044 probe can be used with?

Do not use the probe above 2500 V rms CAT I between each input lead and earth, or above 5000 V rms CAT I between the two input leads.

How should the probe be grounded before connecting it to a measurement instrument?

The probe is grounded through the shell of the BNC connector and an auxiliary grounding terminal, and you must verify that it is securely grounded before connecting the input leads.

What power sources are acceptable for the TA044 probe?

Use four AA cells, a 6 V DC/200 mA mains adaptor, or a regulated 9 V DC/120 mA mains adaptor.
