About this manual

The DSP Development Kit, Cyclone III Edition is a RoHS‑compliant solution that supplies engineers with a development board, high‑speed data‑conversion mezzanine, DSP Builder, Quartus II, MATLAB/Simulink, IP cores, design examples, power supplies, cables and full documentation. It targets the full design flow from concept to hardware implementation.

The kit features a Cyclone III EP3C120F780 FPGA, 128 × 64 graphics LCD, 2‑line × 16‑character LCD, 256 MB DDR2 SDRAM with ECC, 8 MB SRAM, 64 MB flash, Ethernet (10/100/1000 RGMII), USB 2.0, two HSMC connectors, and dual 14‑bit A/D and D/A converters (150 MSPS and 250 MSPS). The HSMC interface follows Altera’s specification based on the Samtec connector, allowing custom daughter cards.
