The N2780A Series AC/DC current probes from Agilent use hybrid Hall‑effect and transformer technology to measure DC and AC currents up to 500 A (continuous) and 700 A (peak). They offer bandwidths from DC to 2 MHz (N2780A) up to 100 MHz (N2783A), 1 % accuracy, low noise, and a demagnetize function to eliminate residual core magnetism.
An external N2779A three‑channel power supply can drive up to three probes simultaneously, and the probes connect directly to high‑impedance (1 MΩ) BNC inputs on compatible oscilloscopes. Detailed specifications such as risetime, output voltage rate, noise, and cable lengths are provided for each model.
