About this manual

The TJA1020 is a LIN transceiver that interfaces between a LIN master/slave protocol controller and the physical LIN bus. It supports baud rates up to 20 Kbaud, offers very low electromagnetic emission, and includes an integrated termination resistor for LIN slave applications.

The device features multiple operating modes (sleep, standby, normal slope, low slope) and several wake‑up methods, including remote wake‑up via a dominant bus state, local wake‑up via the NWAKE pin, and mode‑change wake‑up via the NSLP pin. Protection functions such as TXD dominant time‑out, thermal shutdown, and bus‑line protection are also provided.
