This document introduces the MAX202E–MAX213E, MAX232E/MAX241E series line drivers / receivers. The series products are designed for RS-232 and V.28 communications in harsh environments.
The Maxim MAX202E, MAX213E, MAX232E and MAX241E are +15 kV ESD‑protected RS‑232 transceiver families designed for harsh environments. They meet EIA/TIA‑232E and CCITT V.28 specifications and support data rates up to 120 kbps when properly terminated.
The devices are offered in a variety of packages—including 16‑pin TSSOP, narrow SO, wide SO, DIP, 20‑pin DIP, 24‑pin SO/SSOP, and 28‑pin SO/SSOP—providing flexibility for space‑constrained and low‑power applications.
