The MAX14595 is a low-power dual-channel logic-level translator designed specifically for low power consumption, making it suitable for portable and battery-powered equipment. The device is optimized for the I2C bus as well as the management data input/output (MDIO) bus where often high-speed, open-drain operation is required. When TS is high, the device allows the pullup to be connected to the I/O port that has the power. This allows continuous I2C operation on the powered side without any disruption while the level translation function is off. The part is specified over the extended -40NC to +85NC temperature range, and is available in 8-bump WLP and 8-pin TDFN packages.

The MAX14611 is a quad bidirectional logic-level translator that provides the level shifting necessary to allow data transfer in a multivoltage system. The device features a three-state output mode and enhanced electrostatic discharge protection.

SN54LVC86A and SN74LVC86A are quadruple 2-input exclusive-OR gates designed for different voltage operation ranges. They feature high performance, low power consumption, and electromagnetic interference resistance.

The MAX13036 is an automotive contact monitor and level shifter that monitors and debounces eight remote mechanical switches, and asserts an interrupt (INT) if a switch changes state.

MAX1840/MAX1841 are SIM card/smart card level translators from MAXIM that provide level shifting and ESD protection for SIM and smart card ports.

The Teridian 73S8024RN is a low-cost smart card interface IC that meets the ISO-7816-3, EMV 4.0, and NDS specifications. It can be controlled by a dedicated control bus and provides card presence and fault notification to the system controller. The card clock can be generated by an on-chip oscillator using an external crystal or a clock signal. The 73S8024RN includes an ISO-7816-3 activation/deactivation sequencer that controls the card signals. Level-shifters drive the card signals with the selected card voltage (3V or 5V) from an internal Low Drop-Out (LDO) voltage regulator. With its embedded LDO regulator, the 73S8024RN is a cost-effective solution for applications with a 5V power supply. Hardware support for auxiliary I/O lines, C4 / C8 contacts, is provided. Emergency card deactivation is initiated upon card extraction or any fault generated by the protection circuitry.

The 73S8023C is a low-power, high efficiency, single smart card interface IC suitable for 3V and 5V cards. It provides full electrical compliance with ISO- 7816-3 and EMV 4.0 (EMV2000) specifications. Hardware support for any type of synchronous cards (memory cards) is provided.

The Teridian 73S8024C is a single smart card interface IC that provides full electrical compliance with ISO-7816-3, EMV 4.0, and NDS specifications. It interfaces with the system controller through a control bus, using digital inputs to control the interface and an interrupt output to inform the system controller of the card presence and faults. Data exchange with the card is managed from the system controller using the I/O line and auxiliary I/O lines if necessary. The device supports auxiliary I/O lines, C4 / C8 contacts. The card clock signal can be generated by an on-chip oscillator using an external crystal or by connecting to a clock signal from the system controller. The Teridian 73S8024C includes an ISO-7816-3 activation/deactivation sequencer that controls the card signals. Level shifters drive the card signals with the selected card voltage (3V or 5V) from an internal DC-DC converter. With its high-efficiency DC-DC converter, the Teridian 73S8024C is a cost-effective solution for smart card reader applications powered by a single 2.7V to 3.6V power supply. Emergency card deactivation is initiated when the card is removed or when a fault occurs in the protection circuitry. The fault can be related to the digital power supply (VDD) or the card power supply (VCC).

The 73S8010C is a single smart card interface IC from Teridian. It meets ISO-7816-3 and EMV 4.0 specifications. It interfaces with the host through the two-wire I2C bus. Data exchange with the card is managed from the system controller using the I/O line (and eventually the auxiliary I/O lines). An on-chip oscillator using an external crystal, or connection to a clock signal coming from the system controller can generate the card clock signal. The 73S8010C IC incorporates an ISO-7816-3 activation/deactivation sequencer that controls the card signals. Level shifters drive the card signals with the selected card voltage (3 V or 5 V), coming from an internal DC-DC converter. With its high-efficiency DC-DC converter, the Teridian 73S8010C is a cost-effective solution for any smart card reader application to be powered from a single 2.7 V to 3.6 V power supply. Hardware support for auxiliary I/O lines, C4 / C8 contacts, is provided. Emergency card deactivation is initiated upon card extraction or upon any fault generated by the protection circuitry. The fault can be a VDD (digital power supply), a VCC (card power supply), a card over-current, or an over-heating fault.

The Teridian 73S8009CN is the world’s first single-chip smart card electrical interface circuit that supports all types of smart cards: 5V, 3V and 1.8V, including traditional ISO-7816-3 asynchronous and synchronous type 1 and type 2, as well as USB, ISO-7816-12 cards. It is ideally suited for applications such as desktop computers, laptops and general purpose smart card readers that require low power operation from a single 2.7V to 6.5V power supply voltage source. It provides control, conversion and regulation of power for the smart card. In addition, the circuit provides a 3.3V-regulated voltage that is used as an internal digital supply voltage to the host interface. It is also made available to supply power to some external circuitry (a host controller for instance).
