This application note describes the demonstration board of the DMOS driver for the three-phase brushless DC motor driver L6230Q. The board implements a typical application which can be used as a reference design to drive three-phase brushless DC motors with currents up to 1 A DC.

AN4144 is an application note published by ST, which introduces the principle and parameter optimization method of voltage mode driving.

This application note provides information regarding common I/O operation of the MICROWIRE® EEPROM family of products. This information can help designers interface MICROWIRE® EEPROM products with different microcontrollers.

This application note provides a detailed description of the part numbering scheme of Serial EEPROM products. The part numbering scheme consists of a maximum of 13 digits grouped into nine fields (A to H), as shown in Table 1: Serial EEPROM part numbering scheme on page 1Table 1. Fields A to C represent the product identifiers and fields D to H the product options. The “-” character is used to separate the identifiers from the options. An additional “/” followed by two digits are used by ST to aid traceability, and might appear on some documents at the bottom of the Ordering information scheme table under Process. This information offers the die and technology references (for temperature range 3 devices) and can be ignored for temperature range 6 devices.

This application note introduces the dynamic-link library (DLL) that provides the programming interface for the CRX14 USB reader demonstration kit. The CRX14 USB reader demonstration kit is designed to show off the STMicroelectronics short range contactless memory product range. These contactless memories, such as SR176, SRIX512 and SRIX4K, are powered by a transmitted carrier radio wave, at 13.56MHz. The CRX14 USB reader demonstration kit can be controlled via the Universal Serial Bus (USB). The DLL, that is presented here, gives the application developer a wide variety of possibilities for working easily with this demonstration kit, even using just low level commands.

This application note gives an example of how to use the STR71x I2C peripheral to communi- cate with an I2C Protocol-Compatible Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Mem- ory (EEPROM).

This document describes the construction and operation of STMicroelectronics' EEPROM, and provides useful guidelines for achieving high reliability applications under some of the most stringent conditions, such as those experienced in the automotive market.

This application note presents the calculation method for the antenna matching circuit used in ST CRX14 Coupler series.

The document discusses the semiconductor industry's transition towards lead-free packaging in accordance with new international regulations. It highlights the collaborative efforts of STMicroelectronics, Infineon Technologies, Philips Semiconductors, and Freescale (E4 group) to provide consistent and compatible solutions. The document provides detailed information on ST's lead-free finishing solutions for lead-frame based packages and ball grid array packages.

Introducing the characteristics of metal whiskers and suppression techniques in tin alloy coatings

This application note describes the solderability tests performed on STMicroelectronics lead-free devices, and how to form a reliable solder joint with the base material of the circuit board, using lead-free (Sn-Ag-Cu) or leaded (Sn-Pb) solder.

This document describes the features and applications of the 64-bit unique identifier (UID) used in STMicroelectronics contactless RFID applications.

This application note provides a step-by-step procedure to design a customized tag antenna for 13.56 MHz RFID applications.

This application note explains the differences between the M24LR64-R dual interface EEPROM and the standard M24C64-F, M24C64-R, M24C64-W EEPROMs. It provides detailed information on hardware and software considerations, as well as the memory organization and access methods of the M24LR64-R.

This application note explains how to develop a Visual Basic or C/C++ application code to drive STMicroelectronics STARTKIT-M24LR-A starter kit from a host computer
