This application note describes how to design application boards accepting either standard M24LRxx-R or energy-harvesting M24LRxxE-R devices.

This application note explains how to apply the NDEF format to STMicroelectronics ISO/IEC 15693 products (LRI1K, LRI2K, LRIS2K, LRIS64K and M24LR64-R).

This document describes how to effectively manage the operating states and modes of CR95HF and STRFNFCA devices to define an appropriate wakeup condition to reduce power consumption. CR95HF and STRFNFCA devices have two main functional domains. In Active mode, the devices can communicate with a host using one of the serial interfaces (UART or SPI) or with RFID tags using its RF capabilities. In Wait for Event (WFE) mode, the device remains quiescent while waiting for an external event. In this mode, a very low level of power consumption can be achieved. Application engineers can manage the wakeup conditions to optimize wakeup time or system power consumption.

This application note describes the ISO/IEC 14443-3 libraries used by a microcontroller to drive the CR95HF 13.56 MHz multiprotocol contactless transceiver using an SPI or UART interface in order to perform wireless communications with ISO/IEC 14443 Type A or B contactless tag. The library was developed to speed up the development of applications using the CR95HF. The CR95HF library is composed of three layers: ■ CR95HF low level layer ■ Standard ISO/IEC 14443-3 protocol layer (type A and type B) ■ SRIX4K product specific layer The library code has been developed in ANSI C language, and validated on an STM32 evaluation board.

This application note describes STM8L162M8 demonstration firmware which reads and writes encrypted data into an LRxk contactless tag.

This application note highlights the key differences of RF addressing modes between the products of the ISO/IEC 15693 STMicroelectronics family, which is composed of the dual interface EEPROM products (M24LRx) and the long range contactless products (LRix). The memory size is a key point and has an impact on some specific parameters of the RF (Radio frequency) commands.

The M24LRxxE_R is an EEPROM device designed to be accessed via two different interfaces: a wired I²C interface and a standard contactless ISO 15693 RFID interface. The document explains the application and operation principles of M24LRxxE_R, and describes how to manage simultaneous I²C and RF data transfers.

ST890 is a P-channel MOSFET power switch from ST, mainly used in PCMCIA and USB applications.

The document describes the features and characteristics of IC analog switches, as well as new technologies to solve the problems of high-frequency signal degradation and channel signal cross-talk.

an explanation of the correct use of the STG3699 Analog Switch in mobile telecom applications

This application note describes the application of the STOTG04 full-speed USB-OTG transceiver in an audio carkit environment. The paper also illustrates the carkit use and operation, connection between cellular phone and the carkit, physical connection and external circuitry of the STOTG04 required for a correct operation. Proper setup of the internal registers of the STOTG04 needed for audio mode is also described.

The STMUX1000L is an 8- to 16-bit bi-directional Multiplexer/Demultiplexer designed for applications that require signal routing at 10/100/1000 Megabit Ethernet speeds. It integrates three Single Pole Dual Throw (SPDT) Channels for LED support and is available in two different packages, the TSSOP56 and QFN56. This application note highlights various applications into which the STMUX1000L Gigabit LAN Switch can be designed, such as PC Notebooks and docking stations. These are applications where several electrical characteristics impact high performance data transfer, including low noise between signals, low RON, and low Con and Coff capacitance. Additionally, the superior performance of the STMUX1000L is illustrated when compared to a competitor's device.

STMPE2401 is a GPIO port expander that provides additional I/Os to the host processor to implement features such as increased number of inputs/outputs, expanding the number of control signals and mixed signal lines, controlling a greater number of peripherals.
