SLVS485 is a nonsynchronous step-down controller that is ideally suited for systems powered from a 5-V or 3.3-V bus or for applications powered from a 1-cell Li-Ion battery or from a 2- to 4-cell NiCd, NiMH, or alkaline battery. This controller uses a minimum on time, minimum off time control scheme and consumes only 20-µA quiescent current to achieve highest efficiency over a wide load current range. These devices use an integrated synchronous rectifier for highest power conversion efficiency (>95%), support output current of 200 mA with a supply voltage of only 0.9 V. The converter starts up into a full load with a supply voltage of only 0.9 V and stays in operation with supply voltages down to 0.8 V. Since it uses a built-in synchronous rectifier, no external Schottky diode is required, thus the system efficiency is improved. The current through the switch is limited to a maximum of 50 µA.

The CC1100 is a low cost true single chip UHF transceiver designed for very low power wireless applications. The circuit is mainly intended for the ISM (Industrial, Scientific and Medical) and SRD (Short Range Device) frequency bands at 315, 433, 868 and 915 MHz, but can easily be programmed for operation at other frequencies in the 300-348 MHz, 400-464 MHz and 800-928 MHz bands. The RF transceiver is integrated with a highly configurable baseband modem. The modem supports various modulation formats and has a configurable data rate up to 500 kbps. The communication range can be increased by enabling a Forward Error Correction option, which is integrated in the modem. CC1100 provides extensive hardware support for packet handling, data buffering, burst transmissions, clear channel assessment, link quality indication and wake-on-radio. This document describes the features and characteristics of the TPS6120x series products, including low input voltage, synchronous boost converter, high efficiency, overtemperature protection, etc. These products are suitable for products powered by single-cell, two-cell, or three-cell alkaline, NiCd or NiMH, or one-cell Li-Ion or Li-polymer battery.

The ADS1212 and ADS1213 are precision, wide dynamic range, delta-sigma Analog-to-Digital (A/D) converters with 24-bit resolution operating from a single +5V supply. The differential inputs are ideal for direct connection to transducers or low-level voltage signals. The delta-sigma architecture is used for wide dynamic range and to ensure 22 bits of no-missing-code performance. An effective resolution of 20 bits is achieved through the use of a very low-noise input amplifier at conversion rates up to 10Hz. Effective resolutions of 16 bits can be maintained up to a sample rate of 1kHz through the use of the unique Turbo Modulator mode of operation. The dynamic range of the converters is further increased by providing a low-noise programmable gain amplifier with a gain range of 1 to 16 in binary steps. The ADS1212 and ADS1213 are designed for high-resolution measurement applications in smart transmitters, industrial process control, weigh scales, chromatography and portable instrumentation. Both converters include a flexible synchronous serial interface that is SPI compatible.

The TPS40195 is a flexible synchronous buck controller that operates from a nominal 4.5 V to 20 V supply. This controller implements voltage mode control with the switching frequency adjustable from 100 kHz to 600 kHz. Flexible features found on this device include selectable soft-start time, programmable short circuit limit, programmable undervoltage lockout (UVLO) and synchronization capability.

The DAC7512 is a low-power, single, 12-bit buffered voltage output Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC). Its on-chip precision output amplifier allows rail-to-rail output swing to be achieved. The DAC7512 uses a versatile three-wire serial interface that operates at clock rates up to 30MHz and is compatible with standard SPI™, QSPI™, Microwire™, and DSP interfaces. The reference for the DAC7512 is derived from the power supply, resulting in the widest dynamic output range possible. The DAC7512 incorporates a power-on reset circuit that ensures that the DAC output powers up at 0V and remains there until a valid write takes place in the device. The DAC7512 contains a power-down feature, accessed over the serial interface, that can reduce the current consumption of the device to 50nA at 5V. The low power consumption of this part in normal operation makes it ideally suited to portable battery-operated equipment. The power consumption is 0.7mW at 5V reducing to 1µW in power-down mode. The DAC7512 is available in a SOT23-6 package and an MSOP-8 package.

The CC2400 is a true single-chip 2.4 GHz RF transceiver designed for low-power and low-voltage wireless applications. The RF transceiver is integrated with a baseband modem supporting data rates up to 1 Mbps. The CC2400 is a low-cost, highly integrated solution enabling robust wireless communication in the 2.4 - 2.4835 GHz unlicensed ISM band. It is intended for systems compliant with world-wide regulations covered by EN 300 440 (Europe), CFR47 Part 15 (US) and ARIB STD-T66 (Japan). Targeting a wide range of applications at 2.4 GHz, the CC2400 supports over-the-air data rates of 10 kbps, 250 kbps and 1 Mbps without requiring any modifications to the hardware. The CC2400 provides extensive hardware support for packet handling, data buffering, burst transmissions, data coding and error detection reducing the workload on the host microcontroller. The main operating parameters of CC2400 can be programmed via an SPI-bus. In a typical system CC2400 will be used together with a microcontroller and a few external, passive components. CC2400 is based on Chipcon’s SmartRF-03 technology in 0.18 µm CMOS.

The first members of TI's new BiMOS general-purpose operational amplifier family are the TLC07x. The BiMOS family concept is simple: provide an upgrade path for BiFET users who are moving away from dual-supply to single-supply systems and demand higher ac and dc performance. With performance rated from 4.5 V to 16 V across commercial (0°C to 70°C) and an extended industrial temperature range (-40°C to 125°C), BiMOS suits a wide range of audio, automotive, industrial and instrumentation applications. Familiar features like offset nulling pins, and new features like MSOP PowerPAD packages and shutdown modes, enable higher levels of performance in a variety of applications.

The TLC2272 and TLC2274 are dual and quad operational amplifiers from Texas Instruments. Both devices exhibit rail-to-rail output performance for increased dynamic range in single- or split-supply applications. The TLC227x family offers 2 MHz of bandwidth and 3 V/µs of slew rate for higher speed applications. These devices offer comparable ac performance while having better noise, input offset voltage, and power dissipation than existing CMOS operational amplifiers. The TLC227x has a noise voltage of 9 nV/√Hz, two times lower than competitive solutions. The TPS3808xxx family is a microprocessor supervisory circuit with low quiescent current and programmable delay feature. It monitors system voltages and generates an open drain reset signal when the voltage drops below a preset threshold or when the manual reset pin goes low.
