About this manual

The TLV5616C is a 12‑bit digital‑to‑analog converter that provides a voltage output ranging from 0 V to Vpp‑0.1 V. It operates from a single supply of 2.7 V to 5.5 V and includes a power‑down mode with a 10 nA quiescent current. The device uses a 4‑wire serial interface compatible with TMS320, SPI, QSPI and Microwire ports, and offers programmable settling time to balance speed and power consumption.

The DAC is offered in several small‑outline packages, including an 8‑terminal SOIC, MSOP and DIP. Electrical specifications include a 12‑bit resolution, typical INL of +4 LSB, DNL of +1 LSB, a fast‑mode settling time of about 3 µs, a slew rate of 0.9 V/µs, and a power‑down current of 10 nA. Operating temperature ranges are 0 °C to 70 °C for the TLV5616C version and –40 °C to 85 °C for the TLV5616l version.
