About this manual

The LC75710NE series are CMOS LSI dot matrix VFD display controller/drivers that generate VFD drive signals from serial data sent by a microprocessor. They include a built-in character generator ROM (160 characters) and RAM (8 characters), support 1 to 16 display digits, and provide intensity adjustment, display shift, and blink functions. The devices operate from a 5 V supply and are packaged in a 64-pin flat package (QFP64E).

The three part numbers LC75710NE, LC75711NE, and LC75712E differ only in the data stored in the built-in CGROM; all other functions and electrical characteristics are identical. The datasheet provides absolute maximum ratings, recommended operating ranges, electrical characteristics, pin functions, block diagrams, and reset initialization procedures.
