This document describes a comparison between the Agilent 6540 UHD Q-TOF and Thermo LTQ Orbitrap XL mass spectrometers. The Agilent 6540 UHD Q-TOF demonstrates better detection capability with a higher in-spectrum dynamic range compared to the Thermo LTQ Orbitrap XL.
This document presents a benchmarking study demonstrating that the Agilent 6540 UHD Accurate-Mass Q-TOF LC/MS system offers a superior in-spectrum dynamic range of 50,000 to 100,000 compared to the Thermo Scientific LTO Orbitrap XL, which exhibits a range of only 800. This superior performance allows the Agilent system to reliably detect low-level sample components even when they coelute with compounds at much higher concentrations.
